ICONS Beauty Group is excited to share the success of its portfolio companies, ICONS|ICS and ICONS|America, at MakeUp in Los Angeles 2025. The event, drawing over 5,000 beauty professionals, was a dynamic gathering where beauty innovation met sustainability. This year ICONS Beauty Group celebrated our theme “Bloom,” which reflected our ongoing transformation toward more sustainable, inclusive, and sensory-driven packaging solutions.

ICONS|ICS made a significant impact with a series of new, eco-conscious innovations. Among the standout products were the Mono-material PP Curvy Pansticks, which engage the senses through their playful and tactile design, and the PET Jars with flip-top PP caps, offering single-handed usability. The new applicator tubes designed for lip care and minimalist beauty routines were also popular, offering precision and convenience. These packaging solutions, designed with both sustainability and functionality in mind, reflect ICONS|ICS’s commitment to leading the way in eco-friendly beauty packaging.
A particularly noteworthy moment was when Tara Stein, VP of Sales and Business Development at ICONS|ICS, participated in the insightful panel discussion “From Sea to Skin: Ocean-Sourced Ingredients and Sustainable Packaging Solutions.” Tara shared ICONS|ICS’s efforts in sustainable packaging innovation, including the introduction of their Ocean Recovered Plastic Tubes. Made from recycled HDPE sourced from discarded fishing nets, ropes, and trawls, these tubes are a prime example of how beauty brands can incorporate ocean-sourced materials to reduce environmental impact without compromising on performance or aesthetics.
The panel sparked engaging conversations about the beauty industry’s responsibility in addressing ocean pollution and the role of sustainable packaging in supporting that effort. The discussion reinforced the industry’s movement toward more eco-conscious choices, a movement that ICONS Beauty Group is proud to be a part of.
In addition to the product showcase and discussions, ICONS|America featured its In-Mold Label (IML) Tubes, which not only offer an environmentally friendly packaging option but also provide unlimited decoration capabilities. Manufactured in the USA, these tubes help to reduce the overall carbon footprint while offering innovative, customizable designs.
The success of the event was a clear reflection of the beauty industry’s growing commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and sensory innovation. ICONS Beauty Group is excited about what lies ahead, and we are already looking forward to continuing this journey at upcoming events, including our debut at MakeUp in Paris in June 2025.
